Mastering the Call to Action


Digital Advertising in Gold Coast means nothing if you don't understand ways to use your Call to Actions or (CTA's), because a Call to action may be the easiest way for you to establish a lead. It can make or break depending on how weak or strong your CTA is, and so I want to give you a few tips to make sure that you are doing the most you can to grow your brand and produce those critical leads.

Wording
Really simple, stay clear from generic words that are going to make you seem desperate or like you are pushing for a sale. For example, picking between the words, 'buy' and 'shop' as a CTA, one might believe that they each mean the same thing. But you must understand that many people on the web usually avoid commitment, therefore subconsciously even there is a propensity for the general public to think that the word 'buy' is locking them into something, whereas 'shop' is a way for them to learn more facts. The point I am aiming to make is that you really will need to think about the wording and avoid words that have unplanned consequences.

Shape and Colour
It may seem odd, but Shape and colour of your CTA can affect its effectiveness. In the world of Digital Advertising there have been a variety of reports into the idea of style and its affect upon a customer's perception, and essentially one idea claims that curves are the most suitable way to go. So, if you want to try and optimise even more, think about making the button for your call to action curved, rather than a square.

Now, colour, this is a different area that there are a few theories on. Some people will have you believe that green is fantastic because it means 'go', but to stay away from red because it is 'stop', or that blue is calming so it would make people more relaxed ... Eventually there really isn't any clear evidence to suggest one option over any other, so just opt for what works best for your layout. One thing that I will point out though is that you should understand the font size and colour-- If you want your digital advertising to be most efficient in the Gold Coast area, it is a good idea to try and keep it different from the rest of your content, but don't go too wild.

Location

Where your call to action is set is quite essential to digital advertising results.
All that I suggest by this is see to it that you don't have it stashed in a corner somewhere, or that you have way too much text that is complicating the Call to action.

Ultimately it all comes down to identifying the combination that works for you, remember your wording, shape, colour, size and positioning of your brand's Call To Action, and when you bring all the factors together just think basic and think about your client.
